Police Looking For Four People They Say Made Robbery At Home

Mesa County Sheriff's investigators are trying to locate four people who allegedly robbed a Fruitvale house at gun point. Two people are shaken, but not injured, after a group of four barges into a home one of them armed with a gun. The incident happened Wednesday around 9:00 p.m. at 3184 Torrey's Peak in Grand Junction.

Authorities say two men and two women, one of them armed with an assault rifle, entered the house. Two men were home at the time. One of the victims told 11 News he knew at least one of the robbers. He says they were looking for his roommate who wasn't there.

The victim says they made a mess in the place looking for drugs, but didn't find anything, and ended up taking some other items before they left. The other man who was in the house at the time managed to slip away to call authorities, but the four got away before police arrived.

The case is under investigation as sheriff's officials chase down several leads.
