Salt Lake City (AP) A group of European investors and the
Singapore–based hotel management company Amanresorts have announced plans for a luxury resort to be built atop a Kane County Plateau overlooking Lake Powell.
The investors plan to put at least $125 million dollars into
the resort called Amangiri. Plans for the 1,900 acre development include a 40 room hotel, a 12,000–square–foot spa and 28 luxury villas.
Amanresorts expects to hire about 200 workers, mostly from Utah, when the resort opens in spring of 2007.
