Nationally, the sales of previously owned homes fell for the month of July, but the market is still going at a record pace, the third highest level of sales according to Grand Valley real estate experts. At Stewart Title in Grand Junction they've seen previousely owned home sales in July stay exactly on track compared to June.
Nancy McBride, President of Stewart Title, says even brand new homes are doing well in this area. She believes much of the success has to do with the fact that Grand Junction is constantly growing, but she's also realistic in knowing that these great summer sales won't last forever.
Nationally, home sales in the South remained the same, but in the North they dropped 3%. In the West sales dipped by 7.5%.
