Holtzman Campaign Denies Altering Photos For Campaign Literature

Denver (AP) Make no bones about it, Republican gubernatorial candidate Marc Holtzman admits he's "vertically challenged," however, campaign spokesman Dick Leggitt is rejecting suggestions that the campaign altered photos of the candidate to make him look taller.

Thursday, the Denver Post published before–and–after photos of Holtzman with President Reagan and President Bush that appeared to show Holtzman gaining an inch or two.

Leggitt says the photos were boxed and shipped to a Virginia consulting firm, which had the photos digitized, cropped and enlarged to be used in Holtzman's campaign literature.

Leggitt says nothing else was done.
