Lost Texas Man Found, 100 People Assist In 3 Day Mountain Search

Estes Park (AP) A Texas man missing since Sunday in the
backcountry of Rocky Mountain National Park has been found.
Park officials say 45–year–old Hillel Ben–avi was spotted Wednesday by plane. He has been flown to a medical center in the park where he's being checked.

The radiologist from Austin was hiking near the summit of a
mountain over 13,000 feet when he disappeared Sunday. He was ahead of his brother, but wasn't at the summit when his brother got there.

About 100 people from the National Park Service, three search and rescue teams and two search–dog teams were looking for Ben–avi.

It was the second time in a month that someone has disappeared in the Mummy Range in the park northwest of Denver. Park Ranger Jeff Christensen died on July 29th from head injures he suffered in a fall while patrolling the rugged area alone. A hiker found the ranger's body on August sixth.
