If the high gas prices aren't stopping you from traveling this labor day weekend, you should be prepared for DUI checkpoints across the state. The Mesa County Sheriff's Office, Colorado State Patrol, Fruita and Grand Junction Police Departments, as well as the DeBeque and Collbran Marshals Offices are joining together for a multi agency sobriety checkpoint. It's a reminder to all those out this weekend not to drink and drive. The checkpoint will be in operation from 10 p–m tonight until 3 a–m Sunday morning at an undisclosed location known for traffic accidents and intoxicated drivers.
