A Highline Lake State Park Ranger will head to the gulf region in a few days to aid in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Park Ranger Chris Foremen along with 22 other State Park Rangers are leaving for Louisiana Wednesday morning. The rangers will meet in Denver Tuesday, load up five boats and drive to Louisiana where they will assist in the rescue and recovery efforts around flooded New Orleans. Foremen use to vacation in New Orleans and says after seeing all the destruction he had to do something to help.
