Grand Junction (AP) One of the stars of the 1970s television program "M*A*S*H*" is scheduled to pay a visit to Grand Junction this week. Mike Farrell portrayed Captain B.J. Hunnicutt from 1975 until the series ended in 1983. The Catholic Diocese of Pueblo Foundation has invited Farrell to share his experiences during the group's fundraising dinner on Friday.
The 66–year–old St. Paul, Minnesota native has served on the boards of several groups working to raise awareness and reduce human suffering worldwide. Farrell is currently the president of Death Penalty Focus, serves on an advisory board for the National Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty, and has lobbied against the firing of gay teachers.
Farrell most recently starred in NBC's "Providence," which
ended in 2002. Farrell lives in Los Angeles.
