After seven years with the Grand Junction Musical Arts Association the executive director is resigning for medical reasons. Cynthia Rhodes is suffering from back problems and says she's resigning because she can't devote the time and energy it takes to be the executive director of the association.
During her time with the symphony Rhodes increased the budget significantly and successfully marketed 7 concert seasons. This year's Evening Under the Stars concert drew a crowd of more than 3,000.
The Grand Junction Musical Arts Association is looking to fill Rhodes' position. To find out more about this job you can log onto our web site at www.nbc11news.com and click on local links and then go to the Grand Junction link.
