Senator Ken Salazar makes a quick appearance at the Club 20 fall meeting as a keynote speaker to discuss the national energy policy. Salazar says the energy bill just passed in congress is not only going to have huge impacts on the nation, but right here on the western slope. He says it's very important for people to be familiar with the new bill and that's why he felt it was necessary for him to speak at the Club 20 meeting. Senator Salazar urges all Coloradans to reduce the amount of energy they consume as much as possible, and that means less driving. In addition Salazar stresses the importance of energy independence and the need for new technology.
