Public Responds In A Big Way For Grand Valley's Only 'No Kill' Animal Shelter

Tuesday night we reported on 11 News about the Roice–Hurst Humane Society having to temporarily close for the first time in 37 years and that the shelter was in desperate need of finding homes for a few dogs. Wednesday morning all but one dog has been either adopted or placed in foster care, but the shelter still needs to find a home for just one dog.

Roice–Hurst has to close its doors temporarily to treat an asbestos problem on the ceiling of the building where the dogs are housed, but even though most of the dogs have been adopted out, the humane society still needs your help.

If you would like to make a donation to help make the two week transition period a little easier you can call the Roice-Hurst Humane Society at 434-7337.
