Durango, Colo. (ap) _ A La Plata County man is behind bars this morning in connection with a shooting at a gas station that left one person dead. Durango police say 23-year-old Bobby L. White of B ayfield suffered a gunshot wound to the chest during an argument early Thursday at an Exxon station. Investigators say white and his 20-year-old brother, Timothy, met two other men in the parking lot of the station overnight.Bobby White then allegedly struck another man in the head as a fight broke out. Captain Dale Smith says 39-year-old Bruce Labarthe pulled a gun
out of his vehicle and shot the victim -- who died at the scene. Labarthe is being held on suspicion of tampering with evidence
and use of a controlled substance.
