Earth movers are on the site where a new residence hall will be built on the Mesa State College campus. This morning the college officially broke ground on the dorms that will be located near the intersection of Houston and Bunting Avenues. The unnamed residence hall will add an additional 288 beds to the 929 already existing in five residence halls on–campus. The anticipated cost of building the facility is 11.7 million dollars. Officials with the college say a new residence hall is needed to alleviate the issue of freshmen and sophomores having to live off–campus due to a lack.
