Frisco (AP) A million dollar rental and repair shop at the base of the Arapahoe Basin ski area is expected to open its doors for business around the first of the year. The new building will be about three–times the size of the former base building, which was torn down shortly after the end of the last ski season.
Construction on the 75,000 square foot building began in
June. It will house restrooms, a waiting area, and several
caretaker apartments — along with the rental/repair shop.
The building will also have a style similar to the green and white a–frame of the main lodge and ski patrol building. Officials say the new building will allow A–Basin to offer more rental skis and snowboards, and to better serve large groups.
