Grand Valley Gets Hit with Severe Weather

A severe thunderstorm moves through the Grand Valley causing a variety of damages. Emergency crews had to temporarily divert traffic at 20 Road and Cunningham Court in the Redlands.
As the rainwater began to flow quickly covering the roadway with debris and mud. Mesa County emergency management say at this time there is no indication of damage to any homes in the area
and the clean up effort will last for at least the next several hours and high winds in Clifton took down a century–old cottonwood tree. The tree knocked out power throughout the Clifton area as well as telephone and cable lines. 35 road between F road and Highway 6 has been closed for several hours as clean–up and power crews continue to clear the area.
