Hurricane causes Lumber Prices to Temporarily Rise

Lumber prices have risen in the Grand Valley because of the devastation from Katrina. However it looks as if the initial increase will flatten fairly soon. With all of the new development in Grand Junction there's concern that the price hike will make homes substantially more expensive. But according to Harbert Lumber President Gorden Harbert, the current prices are actually lower than in years past. Harbert says lumber prices have already started to fall this week.
