Georgetown, Colo. (AP) _ The Loveland Ski area has a head start in its bid to be the first Colorado Ski resort to open this year. Loveland began making snow early today as emperatures dropped into the 20s. Its main competitor, Arapahoe Basin, plans to begin making snow any day. Loveland Marketing Director John Sellers says the ski area plans to have an 18 to 21 inch base and a top to bottom run before it opens.
