Search Continues For Missing Hiker In Holy Cross Wilderness
Vail (AP) Search and rescue teams were back in the Holy Cross wilderness Wednesday, looking for a hiker last seen on Saturday. Thirty–five–year–old Michelle Vanek of Lakewood is a mother of four and a marathon runner.
She was hiking in the area Saturday when she stopped to rest and her friend went on to summit a 14,000 foot peak.
Authorities say a watch they found Tuesday hanging from a tree doesn't belong to Vanek.
