Interstate Reopened; Snow Storm Still Causing Poor Conditions

Interstate 70 was closed in both directions near Vail Pass Saturday due to multiple accidents and poor visibility. The Colorado State Patrol and the Department of Transportation spent much of the afternoon clearing the highway of vehicles and snow. The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for the northern and central mountains. 20 inches could fall in Aspen, Vail and Telluride, with locally heavier amounts winds could reach speeds up to 40 miles per hour. Grand Junction could also see its first measurable snow fall of the season from this storm.
