Denver (AP) A former Washington Redskins' player who holds the Super Bowl rushing record is behind bars. The Drug Enforcement Administration says Timmy Smith sold 20 ounces of cocaine to an undercover agent for $13,600 in the parking lot of a Denver restaurant, Friday.
His brother, who is accused of giving the drugs to Smith, was also arrested.
Smith set the rushing record against the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XXII in 1988. He rushed for 204 yards and two touchdowns in the Redskins' 42–to–10 victory over Denver, but he gained weight the next season and never performed at the same level.
He last played in the league in 1990 with the Dallas Cowboys.
