Suspect In Marc Cohn's Shooting Waives Preliminary Hearing

Denver (AP) A man accused of shooting grammy–winning singer–songwriter Marc Cohn will stand trial on attempted first–degree murder charges. Twenty–six–year–old Joseph Yacteen waived his right to a hearing Friday to determine whether there was enough evidence to proceed to a trial.

Yacteen is accused of shooting Cohn in the head during one of three carjackings he attempted while fleeing police last month. The bullet also grazed cohn's tour manager, Thomas Dube.

He would face up to 90 years in prison if convicted of all
