Aurora (AP) An Arapahoe County judge has denied a records request by the family of a missing six–year–old girl. Aarone Thompson's father, Aaron, had sought copies of statements made by seven children removed from his home during the police investigation into the missing girl.
The judge says Aaron Thompson and his live–in girlfriend, Shely
Lowe, failed to pay some fees required when they filed the court
papers. Thompson is in court with his father to track the status of the children, who remain in protective custody.
The state also has taken a new baby, born to Lowe and Thompson over the weekend.
Meanwhile, Aurora police have reportedly discovered items
associated with alleged criminal activity inside the Thompson home. Denver's KMGH-TV reports police found fake driver's licenses and fake identification cards. The materials are said to belong to Lowe.
Aaron Thompson reported Aarone missing on November 14th, but
police now believe the girl is dead. Police say Lowe and Thompson are "persons of interest" in the case.
