Voters in Colorado turned out in the highest numbers ever for an off–year election according to the Colorado Secretary of State's Office. Secretary of State Gigi Dennis certified the results Monday. Statewide 49.85% of eligible voters cast a ballot. That's up more than 2.5% from the previous record year of 2004.
Locally, Delta County had the biggest turnout of just over 64%.
Mesa County followed with nearly 73%.
Statewide, Pitkin County showed the lowest turnout with less than 37%. Phillips County topped 75% for the highest turnout in the state.
