Man Robs Grand Junction Furniture Store At Gun Point

Law enforcement officers are still looking for a man who robbed a business in Grand Junction this morning. The man walked into Furniture Junction at North Avenue and Business Highway 70 at about 11–30 and confronted an employee. He was armed with a dark grey semi–automatic handgun but did not threaten the employee. The man left the scene on foot with 250 dollars in cash.Officers from the Mesa County Sheriff's Office and the Grand Junction Police Department responded to the scene and cordoned off the area.Other officers checked railroad tracks running behind the store.A k–9 unit tracked a scent north across Interstate 70 Business loop but lost the trail near Mor Storage Sales. The robber is described as a black male
20 to 30 years old and six feet tall, with an average to muscular build. He was wearing a dark blue hoodie,blue jeans and black gloves. If you have information on this robbery call 911 or the Mesa County Sheriff's Office.
