Grand Junction bomb and hazardous materials experts respond to A-1 Reposession Company at 518 30 Road today after the owner finds a pickup truck full of explosives and ammunition. 30 road is closed at 12:30PM from Interstate 70 Business north to E1/2 Road for four hours to protect the public.
Susan McBurney with the Mesa County Sheriff's Office say it's not known whether the explosives were left by a person angry at the repossession or if it was an accident.
The Federal Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms will join local enforcement in investigating the incident.
the materials were removed from the area.
McBurney did not say whether the material would be destroyed or stored as evidence.
