Mesa County Sheriff's officials are still searching for the suspects wanted in a shoot out with Deputies last night. One of the people involved is believed to be a suspect in the shooting of James Finnegan last month in the desert of Grand Junction. After receiving information concerning the whereabouts of Charles Pruitt and Sam Lincoln, authorities set up road blocks this morning in one Redlands neighborhood. Deputies were stationed at Rosevale Road and C and a half Road and at Monument and D roads. A light search of the area turned up nothing. About 200 residents received reverse 911 calls asking people not to spend time outdoors. When residents were allowed to leave their homes Sheriff's Deputies stopped and searched cars. Sam lincoln is believed to be one of the two people in a Silver Kia Spectra that was involved in an exchange of gun fire with the Deputies. The spectra was later recovered in the 700 block of 6th Street. It is being processed for evidence. Authorities confirm the car was a rental, however, they're not telling us who it was rented to. Neither of the two deputies involved in the shooting were injured.
