The Mesa County Commissioners and Grand Junction City Council officially proclaimed this week 4-H week. 4–H week is celebrated nationwide from October 2nd through the 8th. 4–H is a youth development program that creates competent, committed
and confident kids through relationships with adult mentors.
600 young people and 200 adult volunteers are involved with 4–H in Mesa County and Mesa County Commissioners say 4–H deserves a week to be recognized.
4–H is for kids five to eighteen years old and has been involved with the lives of young people on the Western Slope for more than one hundred years.
