Teenager Faces Arson Charges In Connection With Apartment Fire
The Grand Junction Fire Department is saying a fire in an apartment complex last August was intentionally set and now a teenager is facing two felony charges. An arrest affidavit has been issued for fifteen-year-old Ryan Christoper Salazar who is accussed of setting fire to the Monument Ridge Apartments on B 1/2 road about two months ago.
It caused more than $300,000 worth of damage to the apartment building.
Salazar is currently incarcerated in Texas on another charge unrelated to the fire. He is being charged with both first degree arson and criminal mischief.
