Denver (AP) Two women who say they were sexually assaulted by football players or recruits have filed a new court document to try to revive their lawsuit against the University of Colorado. In a federal court filing Thursday, Lisa Simpson and the other plaintiff say a newly released transcript of a police interview with a former student athletic trainer helps their case.
The trainer said she was sexually assaulted by a football player. The women say that shows C.U. officials knew of sexual harassment in the football program.
C.U. attorney Larry Pozner calls the assertions "wild
speculation."
The women's lawsuit was dismissed in March after a judge said they failed to prove the school knew of sexual harassment by football athletes and was deliberately indifferent to it.
