Shots Ring Out In Grand Valley Neighborhood, Citizens Concerned

One resident of a quiet Fruitvale neighborhood say he will take measures to find who fired shots at a car and home Monday night.
Grand Junction dispatch received a call of shots fired at 9:15 p.m. When deputies arrived they found that someone had fired shots from a passing car.

Three shots hit a parked car blowing out a window and flatting a tire. Another round went into the window of a nearby home destroying a grandfather clock.

William Chambers says his wife was unlocking the door to their home when the shots were fired. He says his neighborhood is a quiet place to live and fears children could get hurt.

He blames a neighbor's drug use for the problem and says he plans to take action to make the area safe.

No one was injured in the incident. Sheriff's reports say the case remains active.
