Ritter Raises $300,000, Bringing Total For Gov's Race To $460,000

Denver (AP) Bill Ritter, Denver's former District Attorney and the only Democratic candidate for governor, says he raised almost $300,000 for his campaign in the three months that ended on September 30th. That brings Ritter's total in his bid to replace Republican Governor Bill Owens to $460,000.

Two Republicans, former State Technology Secretary Marc Holtzman and Congressman Bob Beauprez also are in the race. They haven't released their campaign finance records yet.

Democrat Ed Perlmutter, who is running to replace Beauprez in the Seventh Congressional District, raised about $105,000 during the same period, bringing his total to $317,000.

Former Democratic State Representative Peggy Lamm hasn't
announced her fundraising numbers for that race.
