Moab, Utah (AP) The Utah Highway Patrol says there is only one confirmed fatality from a van crash Tuesday night in southeastern utah. Patrol Sergeant Wade Breur says in the confusion following the crash, the victim may have been identified as two different women.
Investigators are having a hard time establishing identities for several of the passengers, believed to be in the United States illegally, because some were using false names. There were 16 people packed into the minivan when it rolled on State Highway 191.
It was headed from Phoenix to Denver. Investigators think three people were thrown from the vehicle.
