In an effort to protect children who are victims of neglect or abuse, Colorado West Mental Health holds its annual benefit in Grand Junction. More than 200 items were up for auction Saturday night at the Two Rivers Convention Center ranging from wines to two–way radios. It's the 6th year for the benefit and last year more than $14,000 was raised. Organizers say profits from the dinner and silent auction will go directly to help abused or neglected children and is spent on anything that will benefit the child's well–being.
