The Grand Junction Lions Club Community Betterment Committee is once again set to give away $100,000 to help fund community non–profit capital projects. The money is raised during the Annual Lion's Club Carnival and raffle held each February. The organization has helped fund Two Rivers Convention Center, the
Western Colorado Botanical Gardens, as well as numerous parks and recreation facilities around Grand Junction.
Aplications are currently being accepted for groups that are in need of funding and with the club donating money for six to eight projects a year committee members say the project doesn't have to be big, just community oriented.
Applications can be brought to Brown's Shoes located at 425 Main Street in Grand Junction. For more information you can call 245–0563.
