A group of Mesa State students has made a commitment to solar powered energy and Thursday they were one step closer to installing a solar powered system to run its school radio station. The Associated Student Government presented "We Can" with a check for $13,500 to help pay for the solar powered panels which will be put on buildings around the Mesa State College campus.
"We Can" is a group of students who strive to make Mesa State College the leader in responsible energy development.
The group is about halfway to its goal of paying for the solar powered system. Sudents are hoping that the money will be raised soon and that the system will be installed the end of the year.
