One firefighter was injured Thurdsday night after a fire broke out at an Orchard Mesa business. Grand Junction fire investigators have determined an electrical short is to blame for starting the fire at 850 Highway 50.
While conducting mop up, a firefighter was hit in the head when a fender fell off a shelf. He was taken to the hospital and was treated and released Thursday night.
Investigators returned to the scene Friday to sift through the rubble. They have determined an electrical short in a conduit on the interior wall is what started the fire.
