Residents of Delta, Montrose and Telluride may soon see higher energy bills. Kinder Morgan Incorporated the Houston-based company that supplies natural gas to some areas of the western slope is proposing a 33 percent increase in natural gas rates to the state's Public Utilities Commission. A spokesperson for the commission says the rate hike will likely be approved in the coming week. A Kinder Morgan representative says Colorado customers will still pay less than the national average.
