Arapahoe Basin, Colo. (AP)- Warm, dry weather is slowing the
start of the state's ski season — and there's no snow in the
forecast. Despite the grim weather outlook Arapahoe Basin opened for the season Sunday after postponing its debut. A–Basin had hoped to open Friday but had to hold off because of the weather. The ski area has been making snow — thanks to nighttime temperatures in the 20s. A-Basin is the
second Colorado ski area to open this season. Loveland was the first ski area in the state — and the nation — to open. it opened for business October 14th.
