Motorists Getting Some Relief At The Gas Pump

Refineries damaged by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita are coming back online resulting in lower gas prices across the country, and in the Grand Junction area. According to the AAA fuel gauge report, nationally, the price for a regular gallon of gas is now 2–dollars and 75–cents, down nearly a quarter from just two weeks ago. In Grand Junction consumers can expect to pay slightly more than the national average with regular gas going for 2–dollars and 77–cents a gallon a drop of about 10–cents from a month ago. Vail still has the highest gas prices in Colorado with the price of regular gas still hovering around three dollars a gallon.
