The "heat is on" this Halloween weekend in the Grand Valley. The Halloween D.U.I enforcement period will start Friday at 6 p.m. and end Tuesday at 3 a.-m.
The Colorado Department of Transportation says motorists can count on seeing sobriety check points and increased patrols.
The Mesa County Sheriff's office will conduct checkpoints with assistance from the Grand Junction Police Department.
