The Mesa County Health Department is looking for citizen volunteers in an effort to refine its' emergency response plan to potential flu epidemics. The first flu clinics of this years' flu season used a number of volunteers from various Mesa County agencies, as well as other local non–profit organizations to give non–medical assistance.
The program worked well, but health officials say they want to be prepared for emergencies.
Volunteers must also be physically able to work for long hours.
