The father of a Grand Junction man wanted by authorities on a $1 million murder arrest warrant has been arrested for dealing drugs. Gregory Wieberg was taken into custody Thursday night by members of the Western Colorado Drug Task Force after surveillance showed he was dealing methamphetamine.
Two men leaving a home were stopped and admitted to buying the drug from Weiberg. Task force agents contacted Weiberg and were given consent to search his home. Agents found methamphetamine, baggies, and a scale used to measure drugs at the home, which is just blocks from where his son Christopher Wieberg allegedly murdered a Grand Junction Man, Tuesday.
Gregory Weiberg was taken into custody where he remains at the Mesa County Jail. Two other men were also arrested for drug possession.
Area law enforcement continue to search for murder suspect Christopher Weiberg, who is suspected of shooting 28-year-old Joe Martinez last Tuesday.
