The Search Is On For Escaped Inmate

Authorities on the Western Slope are on the lookout for an escaped inmate who walked away from a minimum security prison in Delta County. Robert Horn was discovered missing from the Delta Correctional Center at 8:30 a.m. Saturday. Horn is a 42-year-old white man, standing 5 feet 11 inches tall, and weighing 195 pounds. He has blue eyes, close–cut brown hair a mustache and goatee. He's probably wearing state issued greens with a Carhartt type jacket. Horn has two forgery convictions out of Jefferson and Adams Counties. He entered the Colorado Department of Corrections on September 15, 2003. He has a mandatory parole date in 2009. Police say Horn should be considered dangerous and the Colorado Department of Corrections urges the public to take all necessary precautions. The Colorado Department of Corrections is offering a 25–hundred dollar reward for information that leads to Horn's apprehension.
