Man Dies After Officer Involved Taser Incident

Investigators in Fort Collins, Colorado are trying to determine whether police taser guns contributed to the death of a 35–year-old man. Sheriff's deputies in Larimer County say while questioning Timothy Mathis on October 3rd about an alleged damage incident involving a recreational vehicle the suspect began threatening deputies. He was hit with several taser shots in an effort to subdue him. Mathis then went into cardiac arrest and was in a coma until his death on Tuesday. The autopsy has been performed, but authorities are not yet releasing the cause of death.
