More people died while on the job last year than the year before. According to the Colorado Census of Fatal Occupational Injuries 117 work–related deaths were reported in 2004 compared to 102 in 2003. A 15 percent increase. Most of the fatalities were the result of motor–vehicle crashes. The fatality rate amounts to five deaths for every 100–thousand workers in Colorado.
