A confused man leads authorities to believe his wife is being held hostage in a truck in the parking lot of the Mesa County Sheriff's Office. According to authorities about 2 A.M. a man drove his wife to the sheriff's office in his truck. He then went inside and visibly upset he claimed that his wife was being held hostage in the parking lot by a man with a gun. Officials began questioning the man, but he could not remember any details. Grand Junction police officers responded along with sheriff's deputies and began reacting to the alleged hostage situation. They evacuated the front of the building and surrounded the truck. after three hours it was determined there was no man in the truck and the wife of the confused man explained she was never being held hostage. After an investigation police decided not to press charges. They felt the man believed that he was telling the truth.
