Wisconsin Men Jailed In One Of Moffat County's Biggest Drug Busts

Craig (AP) Three Wisconsin men are being held in the Moffat County Jail, after what authorities call one of the largest drug busts in sheriff's department history. Two deputies pulled a car over for speeding along Colorado Highway 40 Saturday morning, but officials say a four–legged member of the force soon uncovered a much more serious crime.

Deputy Courtland Folks claims 27–year–old Jeff Skaife of
Waunakee, Wisconsin was vague when asked about his travel plans, so Folks called out a narcotics dog. The canine named "Czar" alerted Folks and his partner to some 30 pounds of marijuana, valued at $24–36,000.

Skaife, 21–year–old Dustin Dienberg of Edgerton, and 22–year–old Jason Swanson of Madison each face felony possession charges. Deputy Mark Galvan says the three indicated they were headed to
Madison.

The men could each face two to eigh –years in prison if
convicted.
