Grand Junction residents and business owners met with design consultants Tuesday as plans to beautify gateways into the city move forward. The public meeting at Two Rivers Convention Center focused on improvements to the Interstate 70 interchange on Horizon Drive. Design consultants explained several alternative plans to enhance the entryway into Grand Junction
using lighting, signage and landscaping.
Grand Junction City Public Works Manager Tim Moore says while the plans do not address traffic flow the project will enhance safety for pedestrian traffic along Horizon Drive.
The public and Horizon Drive businesses will have another chance to give feedback on the plans during an open house on December 7th at Two Rivers Convention Center.
