Military Mailing Dates Set For 2005 Holiday Season

The United States Postal Service announces its' recommended mailing dates for Christmas delivery to military overseas addresses. As a guideline the postal service says most holiday mail to military addresses should be sent by December 10th, but to save money using low parcel post rates packages should be sent by this Friday.

Express mail delivery will still be available to most overseas installations if sent by December 19th. The postal service says people sending gifts and packages to friends and relatives in the United States should send them off by Wednesday, December 21st if using regular or priority mail.

Mailings to Colorado addresses should be sent by December 22nd. For more information on mailing deadlines contact your local post office.
