For more than 60 years Family Health West has served the Fruita area and now the medical center is looking to expand with a new urgent care clinic. The new clinic, located in the Kokopelli Plaza, will provide urgent health care, after hours physicians' services, x–ray imaging services and therapy services.
The new facility will focus more on the younger community in the Fruita area where parents can bring their children after hours and get immediate care without making an appointment.
The new clinic is a collaborative effort with Saint Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction. It's expected to be up and running by the spring of next year.
